Rare Diagnosis at Sunshine Speciality Clinic – Behçet’s Disease
A young female patient visited us with multiple painful oral ulcers for the past 2 years. Despite consulting multiple specialists, she found no relief. At Sunshine Speciality Clinic, we took a detailed history and conducted a focused clinical examination. Suspecting a systemic condition, we sent her for HLA-B51 testing, which came back positive. She was diagnosed with the rare and challenging Behçet’s Disease.
We’re proud to have identified one of the rarest autoimmune disorders and initiated proper management, bringing much-needed hope to the patient.
